We splurged and took a short flight from Tbilisi across Georgia to Batumi, a touristy seaside city.
We had a lot of fun exploring cuisines and this was a Ukrainian restaurant.
We had blini (like crepes), borscht, Chicken Kieve and a potato salad smothered in mayonnaise.
I think these are just apartments, but I liked the colors!
We spent a lot of time walking and exploring an this was another restaurant we found along the way. These are more typical Georgian foods: there is a cucumber, tomato and walnut salad. Stroganoff...
Khachapuri again... we had to try it here, because this is the region that is famous for this dish. You could buy little egg and cheese bread keychains and magnets!:)
We stopped in an antique store to look for old coins for Daniel, it looked very similar to a Kansas antique store.
Some impressive architecture.
This is the place that we stayed in. It was very interesting... it was really just a home that had been converted into a hotel, probably less than ten rooms, but it was really nice with a lot of space and our own bathroom.
This is the view out the window... it's like the back courtyard to the neighboring houses .
The next morning we got up too early for Georgia. We wandered around looking for somewhere open to get breakfast and finally stumbled upon this very local bakery. Everything was so fresh and good! There were only two little tiny tables, but they served us Turkish coffee.
It was amazing to see grapevines growing EVERYWHERE! This is just a little hole in the sidewalk!
We rode on this Ferris wheel twice, it was cheap and fun!

silly selfies!!
The Black Sea!
There was no sandy beach, but the rocks were awesome! We spent a long time collecting.
First view of the Black Sea!
